Bobcat Build was started in 2003 as a way to say “Thank You” to the San Marcos community. It has now turned into a Texas State University tradition and serves as the largest service project on campus. Every spring semester, students, faculty and staff volunteer their time to complete various service projects throughout the community such as landscaping, painting, or clean-ups at residents’ homes, local schools, parks, churches, and neighborhoods. Volunteer Registration is located on our website. The deadline to register to volunteer is March 1st. We can't wait to serve with you! Click here for more information

Bobcat Pause is an annual event proudly hosted by Student Foundation and the Department of Student Involvement. The ceremony honors students, faculty, staff, and retired faculty and staff who have passed away during the preceding year. With this event, Student Foundation hopes to instill the importance of remembrance and community, and hopes to offer comfort to those who mourn the deceased. It is our compassion and caring for each other that reflect the excellence of our university and what it truly means to be a Bobcat.

The ceremony includes remarks by the university president, words of comfort and a roll call of those being remembered. The university community, and friends and family of the deceased are invited to join in honoring of fallen Bobcats. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos or flowers to display in honor of their loved ones.
